Public (Urban Ag) Education - Oh, The Places You’ll Go

I’ve had a beautiful few weeks teaching high school agriculture as a substitute. As the end of my assignment approaches, I took some time during Thanksgiving break to daydream…. to imagine what a fully fleshed out Urban Ag curriculum could look like in a public school setting. Of course, my guy Rupert was on the scene, and we scratched the surface of some pretty intriguing subject matter

I’m still tweaking it - generating a few different iterations. Setting goals for 5, 10, 50 years, to see what resonates

Ag education is rooted in tradition. That’s a beautiful thing, until it isn’t. Like most traditions, change comes slowly and with many battles. I’ll touch on that in a different space.
