HEALCARE: Nutrition, Education & Community for Better Health

**HEALCARE: Nutrition, Education & Community for Better Health**

August 11 | BRW Nutrition Center | Augusta

The Fall–Winter cohort of HEALCARE (Healthy Eating and Learning for Cancer Awareness, Research, and Education) begins August 11, offering a free six-month program for men ages 40–70 who have been diagnosed with or are at risk for prostate cancer. Participants and their partners will take part in nutrition education, cooking demonstrations, health screenings, and a supportive community focused on healthier living.

The program includes 12 biweekly sessions, take-home recipes, and grocery vouchers to help families put healthy habits into practice.

A special congratulations to Ebony Tree Farms, a longtime community collaborator, for leading the program's cooking demonstrations and helping connect agriculture, nutrition, and health in such a meaningful way. Their work is a powerful reminder that local food and healthy communities go hand in hand.
